Level 2 consists of nearly two full days of hands-on training with two overnight group campfire experiences. These typically start on a Friday.
Having only about 24-48 hours with participants demands us to take full advantage of the time we share on trail. Please be prepared for days to last from approximately 0700 - 2100 hours (7 am-9 pm).
In order to keep costs down and to allow for freedom of outdoor-specific curriculum along with evidence-based strategies and techniques, we do not work under any other certifying organization. We offer The Trail Medic Program as a stand alone, heavily experience-based training program that, once completed, we're confident you'll be satisfied with the results of your training. There is a certificate that is earned at the completion of each level of training...and potentially some extras.
We suggest that you bring appropriate clothing for weather conditions, camping gear, your first-aid kit (if you have one), meals and drinks, toiletries, basic recovery gear, any vehicle-specific tools or equipment, and a willingness to learn and participate! There will be some guidelines sent to you upon registration.
All Trail Camps require a 4x4 capable vehicle unless otherwise stated. There will be Trail Camps for our community members with 2WD vehicles. Be on the lookout for those classes!!

The general region for the Trail Camps at this time is within about 2 hours of Orange County, California.
Requirements include fire extinguisher, vehicle-specific lug nut key, full-size spare tire, vehicle-specific jack, and tools that you typically would carry for an outing. You must carry current auto insurance. You are responsible for your vehicle..
